The Slovak company Military and Police Group, Technopol International has developed the 122 mm calibre 40-round VP 14 Krizan multiple rocket system for use with its 122 mm 40 Kus anti-personnel and Krizna minelet-carrying cargo rockets.
The launcher is mounted on the rear chassis of a Tatra T815VNN 8 × 8 truck as part of a combat engineer's minelaying system which comprises two vehicles, the minelaying vehicle itself and the ammunition resupply vehicle.
The minelaying vehicle has a variable superstructure onto which can be mounted either a mechanical minelaying system, or two 122 mm 40-round rocket minelaying systems or the mechanical minelaying system and a 122 mm 40-round rocket minelaying system.
The actual 122 mm rocket launcher system is understood to be the same as that used in the Slovakian 122 mm Mod 70/85 122 mm (40-round) system covered in detail in a separate entry and which is also based on a Tatra T815 series 8 × 8 cross-country truck.
The Kus rocket payloads of PPMi-S1 minelets can either be used alone to produce an anti-personnel minefield or be overlaid on a Krizna deployed anti-tank minelet field to hinder clearance.
This system has a fully enclosed and armoured cab to protect the crew from small arms fire and shell splinters. This is of a different design to that used on the RM-70 (8 × 8) 122 mm (40-round) multiple rocket system.
