The SPIKE-ER is a stand-alone anti-armor weapon system that is designed for mounting on combat vehicles. It can also be dismounted to a ground position and fitted onto a tripod. The compact system includes the SPIKE-ER missile in its canister, the Command Launch Unit (CLU), a thermal sight and the SPIKE-ER launcher.

This mounted, remote controlled SPIKE-ER Anti-Armor Weapon System provides a complete armament package for Light Combat Vehicles (LCV). The system is modular and can be easily adapted to a variety of platforms. The package includes the SPIKE-ER or SPIKE-LR missile in its canister, a remote-controlled turret, housing for a target acquisition system, launcher electronics unit and servo unit, as well as a gunner crew station accommodating the armament control panel, multi-functional display and handgrip.
