Based on the excellent characteristics of the VT-72 B tanks, ZTS TEES has developed, on the Indian customer's demand, a new modification of VT-72 C tank to serve FRT (field recovery team).

In comparison with the VT-72 B recovery tank, the new modified version incorporates the following modifications:

• engine, cooling system (radiators, fan), gear boxes

• the crew of FRT is accommodated within the combat space on condition to maintain all elements and aggregates of VT-72 B combat space

• gas welding system (oxygen - acetylene)

• night vision devices

• the cables provided in the vehicle to facilitate the external charge of batteries by means of own dynamostarter

one kilowatt 24 V/220 V single phase inverter for operating electrical equipment (portable drilling machine, grinder etc.) which is located between the driver's instrument panel and space for carriage of personal bedding and weapons of the crew a hydraulically operated loading platform which will provide the required 3 m3 space for the carriage of material, outfit and equipment, the collapsible seat on the rear side plate facilitates the carriage of further crew members three thermal insulated containers of 80 litres capacity each for drinking water, mounted on the loading platform L.H. side universal tying and lifting means

with respect to the modified loading platform the vehicle total height is increased from 2 640 to 2 820 mm.
