The Russian Tula Machinery Design Bureau 9M111M Faktoria anti-tank guided missile is currently being built under licence by the Bulgarian Vazov Engineering Plant in Sopot for export by Kintex. Details of the earlier Vazov 9M111-2 Fagot (AT-4b 'Spigot') are given in the following entry.
The 9M111M is the latest 9M111 missile variant for use with the Tula Machinery Design Bureau 9K111M
Faktoria (Russian for Trading Post; US/NATO designations AT-4c 'Spigot') wire-guided missile system. The missile can be used with either the basic 9P135 or the improved 9P135M series firing posts in the man-portable role or, using the upper part of the firing post only on a small attachment post, in the vehicle-mounted role.
The 9M111M differs from the earlier 9M111 family variants primarily in having a tandem High Explosive Anti-Tank (HEAT) shaped charge warhead arrangement which penetrates Explosive Reactive Armour (ERA) packages.
Production as required. In service with the Bulgarian Army. Quantities of these missiles have been exported to undisclosed countries.
See Russian Federation and Associated States (CIS) entry in this section for the 9K111 Fagot (AT-4 'Spigot') system.
