Amazon is MPAV (Multi Purpose Armored Vehicle), similar to the Vuran, only more lightweight.

BMC Amazon 4x4 armored vehicle was first time introduced publicly during the Eurosatory defense exhibition in June 2016.

In 2016 it was announced that the Turkish company BMC is in talks with the Government of Qatar about the potential sale of up to 1,000 armored vehicles of various types and configurations. In March 2017, information appeared that Qatar ordered 1500 Amazon 4x4 armored vehicles. The vehicles will be supplied to the police and the army of this country and will be equipped with a remote controlled weapon stations manufactured by the Turkish company Aselsan.

Earlier, BMC received a contract from the Turkish government to supply 35 Amazon armored vehicles.

Other countries, such as Pakistan and Turkmenistan, also has interest in the purchase of the new BMC Amazon 4x4.

BMC Amazon 4x4 has an all-welded hull of armored steel, armored glass, V-shaped bottom, doors and manholes for emergency exit. Engine Cummins ISB power of 245 hp coupled with an automatic hydrostatic transmission Allison 3200 SP, which has 6 forward gears and 1 rear. Axes with planetary gears and lockable differentials. independent suspension with all driving wheels and front steerable, with conical springs and telescopic shock absorbers.

The vehicle has a maximum speed of 110 km/h for a maximum road range of up to 600 km.

BMC Amazon can carry a total of 7 troops, including the driver and commander. Vehicle can be equipped with a remote controlled weapon station armed with a 12.7-mm or 7.62-mm machine gun.

Tire of the vehicle is equiped with a ranflat, in addition, there is a  Central Tire Inflation System (CTIS).
