Buran Light Armored Vehicle was first presented at the exhibition MAKS 2017.

Its main advantage is the modular design, due to which it can be adapted to the various missions by replacing the rear mission module.

In front of Buran is an armored cabin, in which besides the driver and the commander can sit four solders. Each crew member has his own door.

Armor provides crew protection class 6A, i.e. it protected against 7.62-mm armor-piercing bullet, fired from a SVD sniper rifle. At the same time, there is no mine protection.

Buran is driven by a YaMZ 53442 four-stroke diesel engine, which has a power of 135 hp. and provides a maximum speed of 100 km/h with a maximum range of 1400 km. The total weight of the vehicle is 8800 kg with a maximum payload of 1200 kg.

Buran has a length of 5.81 m, a width of 2.26 m and a height of 2.35 m.

One of the advantages of the vehicle is that it most automotive components is COTS, produced in Russia, which reduces the cost of production, simplifies logistics and exports.
