The chassis is identical to the SK 105 but a new superstructure has been built at the front of the vehicle. To the right of the vehicle is mounted a hydraulic crane with a maximum lifting capacity of 6,000 kg. The crane is provided with 42 m of cable and its jib can be extended from its normal length of 3 to 3.9 m. The main winch, with a capacity of 20,000 kg, is mounted in the lower part of the hull and is led out through the front. Mounted at the front of the hull is a hydraulically operated blade which can be used for dozing or stabilising the vehicle when the winch is being used. Full designation of this vehicle is the Armoured Recovery Vehicle 4K-7FA, SB 20 (Bergepanzer Greif). Loaded weight is 19,800 kg and it has a crew of four: driver, commander and two mechanics.
