The Oshkosh® Light Combat Tactical Vehicle (LCTV) was introduced in 2010 as a technology demonstrator to further the testing and evaluation of two critical new components: the suspension and the diesel-electric engine. In its light-duty, armored configuration, the LCTV highlights the next generation TAK-4® independent suspension system – a lighter, extremely durable driveline solution – and the ProPulse® diesel-electric system, which significantly increases fuel economy, with the capability to export power. The LCTV also features armor configurations never before available on a light vehicle.

The LCTV was the world’s first armored military vehicle to successfully endure the extreme terrain of the SCORE Baja 1000 off-road race in November 2010. And we continue to invest in the development and testing of the next generation light-duty vehicle designed to support the ever-changing needs of the armed forces.
