Designation:

T7

Info
Manufacturer: Harris Corporation
Product type: Auxiliary Vehicles
Name: Robot, Unmanned Vehicle

The Harris T7 Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) System provides best-in-class mobility, manipulation and intuitive control, delivering uncompromised performance for critical missions. Based on ongoing input from hundreds of active-duty operators, Harris developed the T7 from the ground up to support the demanding requirements of EOD missions.

The robot control system provides tactile feedback to the operator, designed to provide operators with agility similar to the dexterity of a human hand when they controls the robot arm using the remote control handle.

The T7 is compatible with standard-issue disruptors and weapons. It supports a wide variety of EOD missions, including IED defeat. Constructed from field-proven subsystems, the T7 is a modular design that leverages Harris’ participation in the U.S. Department of Defense AEODRS/IOP architecture/standards to provide upgradability through common interfaces. In the configuration shown, the modular design of the T7 incorporates a four-channel remote initiation system, PTZ camera mast, high-power MIMO radios and immersive haptic feedback for unprecedented intuitive control, situational awareness and mobility in rough terrain.

During DSEI 2017, a contract worth £ 55 million was announced for the delivery of 56 Harris T7 robots.
