Designation:

X-2

Info
Manufacturer: Digital Concepts Engineering Ltd
Product type: Auxiliary Vehicles
Name: Robot, Unmanned Vehicle

The X-2 is a highly capable and rugged platform with a modular control system that enables the vehicle to be configured for the customer’s specific requirements. The top deck can accommodate a manipulator arm, video cameras, lights, sensors and the Autonomous Package components (including LIDAR & RTK GPS) and the X-2 is capable of pulling a trailer or fitting front-mounted tools.

Capable of many different roles, the X-2 can be used for many customer applications including but not limited to EOD, sensor platform, Search and Rescue, Perimeter patrol, communications relay, light weapon mount, mine detection and clearing, load moving and agricultural tasks. The system can be operated in manual, semi-autonomous or fully autonomous modes depending on required tasks.

Vehicle power is provided by a high capacity LiFePO4 battery pack (as standard), with various other options available including a diesel generator which allow greatly extended mission durations.

The X-2 can be transported inside larger SUVs, commercial vehicles or on a trailer, depending on configuration.

Considerable effort has been made during the design process to use COTS components ensuring inexpensive and global support for most of the platform’s major mechanical components including the tracks. The external drive components are also easily changed if contaminated with hazardous materials.
