Tellumat (Pty) Limited is a communications and defence electronics company based in Cape Town, South Africa and is home to the well-known Plessey brand. The Defence Division consists of four business units.
The Avionics and Naval Systems business units develop, manufacture, supply and support defence products and systems in an ISO 9000 accredited facility for domestic and export system integrators and end-users. Equipment comprises Identification Friend or Foe (IFF) products and systems, including a cryptographic segment for secure interrogations and replies; and microwave digital and analogue point-to point communication links including Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) data, video and audio links.
The Radar and Navigation Systems business units add value to the import, sale, upgrade and support of systems for the domestic market. Equipment includes surveillance and air defence radars; and VOR, TACAN and ILS systems. |
