SEI - Societa Esplosivi Industriali SpA is one of Italy's leading defence companies and a major supplier of ordnance and high explosive systems within Italy, Europe and the Middle East. SEI is part of the French Group E.P.C. (Explosifs and Produit Chimiques) and has two manufacturing plants in Italy, one in Ghedi (Brescia) and the other in Domusnovas (Cagliari), equipped with modern facilities for the research, development and production of electronic, inert and explosive components (conventional and PBX insensitive types) required for modern, and future, weapon systems. SEI founded the UK based Defence company, Exchem Defence Systems Limited.
