The VL1 4x4 wheeled armoured vehicle features excellent mobility including cross-country mobility, good armour protection and sufficient firepower. Fitted with riot control equipment such as an obstacle-breaching blade and highlight lamps, etc., it can be used to quickly transport personnel and materials, to handle emergencies, and to keep guard over important departments, facilities and areas. It is now in service with the peacekeeping forces of the United Nations.

• VL1 has a 4x4 all-wheel drive, a high power engine and an independent suspension. It features strong power and superior cross-country mobility

• The hull and turret are fitted with all-welded steel armour, providing good protection for the crew

• The vehicle is fitted with a hydraulic obstacle breaching dozer blade with the dozing capability of 1 ton

• Other riot control equipment, such as high voice dispel device and a tear bomb launcher, can be optionally installed on the vehicle

• The vehicle hull adopts a climbing-proof design. All exposed pipelines offer scissor-proof and cutting-proof capabilities
