China North Industries Corporation (NORINCO) from China has developed a new remotely controlled weapon station. The system known as the LRCWS (Light Remote Control Weapon Station) for installation on armoured vehicles. It could be armed with 12.7mm or 14.5mm heavy machine guns, a 7.62mm light machine gun or a 40mm automatic grenade launcher.

The 360 kg and 2000mm long weapon station includes several systems including a dual colored camera for daytime observation, a uncooled thermal imaging camera, a eye safe laser range finder, a stabilization system and power supply. The weapon system is controlled from inside by a 10.4 inch colored LCD display.
