The MRK-61 heavy Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) developed by SKTB PR MGTU Baumana. It is designed for work in the conditions of chemical and radiation contamination, for inspection checks, loading and unloading operations, emergency rescue operations. It can be used as part of the MRK-60 multipurpose complex.

The UGV is capable of performing:

• visual reconnaissance

• gas, chemical and radiation reconnaissance of the area

• rescue operations in conditions of chemical contamination and areas of increased radioactivity

• conduct radiation monitoring of the area

• mark contaminated zones

• eliminate sources of increased radiation

At present, the MRK-61 is in service with the Russian Army.

The UGV chassis is tracked, with electric drive, dimensions - 1.01х1.15х2.55 m, load-carrying capacity of the manipulator - up to 100 kg, charging of batteries is enough for 4 hours of operation.

The equipment includes a manipulator with 5 degrees of freedom, a cable-laying device, 4 color cameras, a microphone, a lighting system, a technological and special equipment.

The range of the control is 300 m by cable, or 600 m by radio link. When working with a cable, the time of continuous operation is unlimited. Control is carried out from a post equipped with a remote control, display, keyboard, antennas and power supply.
