SIGMA

Info
Manufacturer: BAE SYSTEMS
Product type: Night Vision Devices
Name: Thermal imaging camera

SIGMA (Sensor Integrated Modular Architecture) is the latest 3rd generation Staring Focal Plane Array (SFPA) thermal imager from BAE SYSTEMS. It provides high performance passive infrared imaging in day, night and poor visibility, for land, sea and airborne military operations worldwide.

SiGMA has been designed as a stand alone imager and can also be integrated with application specific enclosures and optics as required by the systems integrator.

At the heart of SiGMA imagers are processing electronics designed to readily accommodate a range of detectors including half TV and full TV formats, plus the capability to accept future high definition TV formats.

FPSs eliminate the need for complex scanning mechanisms, offering significantly higher reliability with lower acquisition and through-life ownership costs.

Not only will SiGMA provide superior quality thermal imaging solutions today, it will provide the flexibility to adapt to future environmental demands at minimal cost and risk.
