The optronic observation and reconnaissance equipment "BAA" provides a 24-hour reconnaissance capability for a wide field of applications. It consists of a sensor head and an operating and display unit. The sensor head contains a thermal imaging sight, a daylight camera and a laser rangefinder.

The sensor unit of the BAA is used both vehicle-based, e.g. in observation vehicles, and detached on a tripod.

• Mountable on a variety of platforms

• All-weather day/night ground or low-level air target direction, localization and acquisition capability

• Range measurements up to approx. 20 km

• Remotely controllable up to 40 km
