Info
Manufacturer: Protected Vehicles, Inc. - PVI
Product type: Armoured Vehicles
Name: Wheeled armoured personnel carrier

The Alpha made its debut at the Modern Day Marine show in Quantico, VA on September 12, 2006 under the project name "Bulldog." This is PVIA's Light Protected Vehicle (LPV), 4 x 4 for on/off road use and in the 8-13 Ton Class, it has 8 seat capacity and is designed principally for asymmetric warfare. Specifically aimed at the Up-Armored HMMWV replacement market, the Alpha is also designed to serve the needs of diplomatic, VIP and other security related agencies in high risk areas where vehicles, such as the up-armored Suburban, can no longer meet the threats present. As with all vehicles from PVIA, field installable up-armor capabilities are considered from the outset. Our own armor, ShieldAll™, offers this vehicle class significant increases in payload capacity and overall vehicle performance while providing protection from 50 caliber AP and beyond.
