MineTech International will be presenting the equipment and procedures that have kept the Anglo-Zimbabwean company at the forefront of international humanitarian and commercial mine clearance since the early 1990s.
MineTech is unique it its field in continuing to develop a fully integrated mine action support structure and service, equipped with manual demining, machines and mine detecting dog teams to deliver the most efficient resource mix for the terrain, requirements and priorities of each individual job. The company specialises in ground survey; mine and UXO clearance; underwater mine clearance; mine awareness and risk education; raining; QA and research into new equipment and solutions.
A central feature on the MineTech stand will be the first public showing of its mine detection vehicle (MDV). Based on the Pookie, which was highly successful in cutting mine casualty rates by 70% in the Rhodesian war, it is an effective platform for modern mine detection technology. Having an extremely low ground pressure the MDV is fitted with either mine detection arrays or ground penetration radar to rapidly survey roads or large areas of ground safely.
