LMT specialises in the design and development (including production and integrated logistic support) of wheeled and tracked military and commercial vehicles. Our client base includes companies in South Africa, Canada, Australia, the United Kingdom, Germany and Sweden.

Design and Development:

The design process (using UNIGRAPHICS), is tailored to suit client specific manufacturing processes and equipment. Current projects include the design of a family of wheeled vehicles, landmine protection solutions for wheeled and tracked vehicles and command and control shelters. Simulation LMT specialises in the simulation and analysis of mechanical and dynamic systems, making use of state-of-the-art software such as ADAMS; Nastran, Dytran and Marc. Simulation is used to support in-house projects as well as independently for clients that require a simulation and analysis capability.

Test and Evaluation:

The Test and Evaluation department at LMT operates in support of the design and simulation department, whilst also providing a stand-alone testing service in the automotive (e.g. performance, vehicle handling), industrial (hand-arm vibration and stress measurement) and specialised testing environments (landmine testing and terramechanics).
