DMD, division of Armscor Business is mandated through the Armscor Act, to dispose of redundant, excess to requirement/ obsolete stock to the best advantage of the state.

DMD follows strict government regulations enforced by the NCACC in execution its duties. It is imperative for DMD to comply with the Non Proliferation of Small arms as per the regulations and agreements signed by government.

The sales process of these redundant materiel can either be through direct sales, which is mostly Government to Government, or it could be through government representatives. DMD also uses the tender process. It can be local tender or international tender. Local sales are conducted by means of replacements.
