Plasan Sasa are engaged in the design, development and production of passive protection kits for military vehicles as well as civilian vehicles which could come under attack from small arms fire, grenades and antipersonnel mines.
According to Plasan Sasa, its kits have a unique design without vulnerable connection points which provide total protection for the occupants of the vehicle.
Their kits are made of lightweight armour materials that provide maximum vehicle protection without limiting automotive performance.
Composite steel, composite ceramics and highly pressed fibres developed by Plasan Sasa provide the occupants with protection against small arms fire up to 7.62 mm in calibre, grenades and anti-personnel mines. Bullet proof windows provide the same level of protection as the remainder of the armoured body.
Typical vehicles up-armoured for military applications include AM General HMMWV (4 x 4) and Land Rover (4 x 4) with large numbers of the former used by the Israel Defence Force.
The company can also provide lightweight ballistic protection for buses, cars, vans, helicopters and transport aircraft.
