The Armtrac 20 “Robot” is a multi-function, general purpose Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV) designed to undertake high risk operations in hazardous environments including the removal & clearance of Explosive Ordnance (EO)’s, UXO & other explosive threats.

It is a powerful & value for money option that can be easily transported & rapidly deployed to provide technical survey information, prove routes or clear explosive threats and recce hazardous areas to update threat assessments. It can also be be employed as a Search, Detect, Confirm and Destroy platform.

The Robot is a permanent 4 wheel hydrostatic drive vehicle with central articulated power steering providing excellent manoeuvrability in extreme terrain. Powered by a small petrol or diesel engine it can travel at 25 KPH. Running, maintenance & replacement costs are low.

Armtrac has the capability of fitting sophisticated Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) to the Robot, providing a real-time search and detect function for buried explosive threats. In addition, a disruptor can be fitted for the destruction of Improvised Explosive Device (IED) threats.

The Armtrac 20 employs a dual-redundant operator selectable dual frequency), digital, modular transmission system employing Advanced Frequency Hopping Spread Spectrum Technology (AFHSS) as employed by the military & only recently available for commercial application.
