This ISO certified company was formed in 1991 to manufacture defence products and aircraft parts. The main product is the world-renowned AUG Steyr Rifles, manufactured under licence from Austria. SMEA has already supplied 112,000 units to the Malaysian Armed Forces and are contracted to produce another 18.000 units. With aggresive marketing currently taking place, SME Aerospace is confident of penetrating into international markets with its new generation A3 Steyr Rifle.
