Rud Chains Ltd. has been established in the UK since 1980. It is the subsidiary of RUD Kettenfabrik (Germany), founded in 1875 and is still under family ownership. Rud Chains is one of the largest and most modern round link steel chain manufacturers in the world. More than 1200 employees in the RUD - group are involved in the production and supply of chain and components which are exported to more than 100 countries in the world. RUD Chain's core tasks are its constant research, design, development, construction, materials technology and top-quality production processes. Rud Chains Ltd have been an approved supplier to the MoD for many years. We have managed a MoD contract for JSP 71, (Transportation of Military Equipment by Land, Sea and Air) which included Project Management, inspection and design of MoD lifting equipment, We are currently managing an Enabling contract for the Army (NPPO), to supply Lifting/Lashing (chain, wire rope, webbing slings) and Recovery equipment. We are also the approved supplier of Snow chains to the MoD (CSVL IPT) and HUSLE Chain and Spreader Bars and Shackles to the MoD (HICC IPT), tie down Chain to the RAF (S&AD IPT) and we send a team to Bosnia/Kosovo annually to inspect the Snow chains in theatre. We have also supplied Load Restraint Nets to the Army (Mob IPT) to secure the Logistic Support Bridge on DROPS We also supply Lifting and Lashing points to vehicle and equipment manufacturers.
