The Argo combat Unmanned Ground Vehicle (UGV), equipped with a remote-controlled weapon station, was demonstrated in December 2013 during the visit of Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu to the Rzhev test site.
The Argo UGV was created in the Main Research and Testing Center of Robotics of the MoD RF (GNIITS RT).
The vehicle is designed for reconnaissance and patrolling of the terrain, capable of hitting personnel, as well as unarmored or light armored vehicles of the enemy.
Argo has a protected bottom, a low center of gravity, wheels with a special tread pattern. Controlling the movement of the vehicle is carried out by braking the wheels of one of the sides. It is possible increase off-road mobility with the use of tracks. The vehicle is completely floating.
Argo can be used for sea assault operations. The remote-controlled platform is capable of providing fire support to assault teams, exploring the coast, ensuring the delivery of cargo and ammunition for units engaged in combat on the seaside.
Technical characteristics of the Argo UGV:

- The maximum speed on road is 20 km/h, on water - 5 km/h

- Continuous operation time, not less than 20 hours
- Armament: PKT machine gun caliber 7.62 mm, 3 pcs. RPG-26 or RSHG-2 ATGM
