Rosomak WD - version of the Rosomak WD 8x8 Armored Personnel Carrier with performance of a command and control vehicle (C2). This variant was presented first time at the MSPO 2018 exhibition in Poland.
The vehicle is based on the chassis of the Rosomak WEM Armored Medical Vehicle, which differs from the besic version with a raised roof of rear part. Rosomak WD is designed to provide command and control on the move at the battalion level. It has enough space to accommodate seven crew members, including four of them - in the command post area with air conditioning in the rear part. The main subcontractor responsible for the delivery of electronic systems of vehicle, including the operator consoles, is the Polish company WB Electronics. The control compartment is protected from electromagnetic radiation.
In March 2018, the Polish Arms Inspectorate ordered the purchase of seven Rosomak WD for a total of PLN 80 million (approximately USD 21.5 million).
