Since 1896 Brugg Cables has developed and manufactured cables and installation accessories for the transfer of data and supply of electricity. The product range includes telecommunication cables, specialty cables, high voltage systems, high voltage accessories and power cables.
With the tactical field cable MILLE(TM) Brugg Cables has a hermetically sealed cable boasting a high tensile strength and complete resistance to both natural and chemical attacks.
The MILLE(TM) was developed in 1998 out of a request for a fibre optic cable to meet a Swiss Army requirement. The contract stated that the cable was to be laid in outdoor battlefield environments, and both cable and connectors had to be resistant to rodent attacks, vandalism and the elements.
