MMC Defence Sdn Bhd (MMC Defence), is a company designated under the Malaysian Defence Industry Council (MDIC) for activities in the armoured vehicle technology. These activities include maintenance, overhaul, upgrading, spare part management and related Research and Development (R&D) works. MMC Defence has successfully carried out these roles through the prototype development of Comando V 150 dieselisation project, refurbishment and modernisation of Ferret Scout Car, refurbishment of Radpanzer Condor 4x4 ARC and the prototype development, overhaul and upgrading of Scorpion, Stormer and Sibmas 6x6 vehicles. In the field of transfer of technology, one of the most remarkable experience gained by MMC Defence was'on-the-job'training on Korea Infantry Fighting Vehicles (KIFV) in Korea and Bosnia Herzagovina on smart partnership basis with Daewoo Heavy Industries of Korea and assembly, testing and commissioning of PT-91 main battle tank (MET) with Bumar Labedy of Poland. Currently MMC Defence is embarking on a collaboration with MBDA, UK for the design and fabrication of missiles racks for the Jernas SHORAD system.

MMC Defence utilises 100% local engineering capability backed by experience management, personnel, professional engineers and skilled tradesman. 70% of its workforce consist of ex-servicemen who had served more than 15 years in the REME Corps, Malaysian Army.
