Rheinmetall Canada Inc. markets the Rheinmetall Defence group's complete range of products in Canada.

With about 250 employees at locations in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu close to Montréal and Ottawa, Rheinmetall Canada has demonstrated expertise in the development, integration, and production of platform-independent systems for a quarter century.

Rheinmetall Canada offers innovative solutions for vehicle integration, weapon systems, air defence, and electronic systems. The company also customizes systems to the evolving operational needs of military forces in Canada and on selected international markets and is principally engaged in long-term, in-service support for the broad range of solutions.

Recognized as a leading systems engineering and integration company in Canada, almost 75% of the company's business is for the Canadian Department of National Defence. In fact, Rheinmetall Canada is one of the largest providers of land defence systems and battle management systems to the federal government and is prime contractor on several key programs including the repair and overhaul of the Leopard 2 A4 training tanks and the procurement of the 40 mm Close Area Suppression Weapon, the army’s digitized 40 mm grenade launcher.

In addition, the business comprises sales to international defence customers and commercial sales in the homeland security sector.
