Saab Systems, is an internationally recognised, high technology company specialising in software engineering and systems integration for defence projects. Its parent company, Saab, is Sweden's premier defence industry organisation and one of Northern Europe's largest corporations.

The company was formed in 1988 to facilitate extensive technology and skill transfer from Sweden to Australia following the awarding of the A$400 million subcontract to provide combat systems for the ANZAC ships of the Royal Australian and New Zealand Navies.

Based at Technology Park in Adelaide, Saab Systems employs an Australian staff of 200, most of whom are tertiary educated specialists. Many project managers are ex-service personnel who bring extensive experience and knowledge to the projects thus achieving successful, appropriate, low-cost solution delivered on time and on budget.

The company has followed the success of the ANZAC subcontract with a number of other major defence projects, reinforcing its ambition to become the foremost supplier of command and control, and command support systems to defence forces in Australia and export markets.

Key Strengths

Capabilities

Saab Systems leading edge technology, proven track record, and integration capability make it the best choice for low risk, high capability defence software systems. The company has a proven record in facilitating technology transfer and also in integration of overseas systems into the Australian Defence Force.
