Ordnance Factory Board (OFB)

With the establishment of the first Ordnance Factory in 1802 at Cossipore, West Bengal, India and the subsequent addition of 38 more Ordnance Factories over the years, the Indian Ordance Factories Organisation possess the unique distinction of two hundred years experience in Defence production with quality acceptance of the international Standards organisation. Under the aegis of its corporate head quarters, the Ordnance Factory boardm the Indian Ordnance Factories Organisation is currently engaged in research, development, production, logistics and trade in the field of Defence Production and Supplies. These activities have generated a high level of customer satisfaction not only in India but also outside in areas of Land, Air and Maritime defence systems.
