Caiman Multi-Terrain Vehicle (MTV)

An upgraded Caiman MRAP, the Caiman MTV provides greater levels of survivability and mobility to navigate challenging and unpredictable environments. Caiman MTV integrates a refurbished and improved armored capsule from an existing Caiman MRAP with a new high-power automotive powertrain, chassis and independent suspension. The large usable interior volume under armor is optimal for a variety of missions including troop transport with a 10-man crew capacity, a four litter ambulatory system with attendant and command and control on the move operations.

The vehicle provides an effective combination of interior capacity, tactical mobility, operator comfort and survivability. Caiman MTV achieves greater survivability through an enhanced monolithic floor, a strengthened chassis frame and highly effective blast absorbing seats. The vehicle’s improved mobility is achieved with a greater vehicle track width, a strong independent suspension and an upgraded powertrain.

The upgraded interior includes an upgraded HVAC temperature control system to protect soldiers and critical computer equipment from hot and cold extremes. For a tactical vehicle of its size, Caiman MTV delivers a high level of performance in varying terrain by providing optimum stability, agility and payload.

The Caiman MTV is now available in three variants, troop carrier, ambulance and C2OTM (Command & Control On-The-Move).
